Lesson 35 저녁 식사를 준비합시다! Let’s Make Dinner!

Anna: Hi there! Washington, D.C. has many fun places to eat. But, sometimes it's more fun to cook. In fact, tonight Marsha and I are cooking for friends. Well, she is cooking. I am doing the shopping. (phone rings) It’s Marsha. Hi, Marsha.
아나: 안녕하세요! 워싱턴 DC에는 재밌는 식당들이 많아요. 하지만 가끔은 직접 요리하는 게 더 재밌죠. 사실 오늘 제가 마샤와 함께 친구들을 위해 요리할거예요. 요리는 마샤가 하지만, 장보기는 제가 맡았어요. (전화벨 소리) 마샤인가봐요. 안녕, 마샤.

Marsha: Hi, Anna. Do you have the shopping list?
마샤: 안녕, 아나. 쇼핑 목록은 가지고 있죠?

Anna: Yes, I told you: I have the shopping list. Can you hear it?
아나: 그럼요, 내가 말했잖아요: 쇼핑 목록 가지고 왔어요. 소리 들리죠?

Marsha: Okay, good. I hear the list. Anna, please buy all the ingredients on the list.
마샤: 네. 잘 했어요. 소리 들려요. 아나, 목록에 있는 재료는 꼭 다 사오세요.

Anna: Yes, Marsha, I will.
아나: 그럼요, 마샤, 그럴게요.

Marsha: And do not spend too much time shopping.
마샤: 그리고, 장보기에 너무 시간을 많이 쓰면 안돼요.

Anna: No, Marsha, I won’t. See you later.
아나: 안 그럴거예요. 마샤. 있다가 봐요.

Anna: Sometimes, Marsha worries too much. I love shopping! And, I did not spend too much money. Oh, no! But I did spend too much time! I have to return home now!
아나: 가끔 마샤는 걱정이 너무 많아요. 저는 장보기가 좋아요! 그리고 돈도 너무 많이 쓰지 않았어요. 오 안돼! 그런데 시간이 너무 많이 걸렸네요. 당장 집으로 돌아가야겠어요?

Marsha: Anna, what took you so long? Our guests will be here soon!
마샤: 아나, 왜 이렇게 오래 걸렸어요? 손님들이 곧 올거예요.

Anna: Don’t worry, Marsha. I bought everything on the list.
아나: 걱정 말아요, 마샤. 목록에 있는 건 다 샀으니까요.

Marsha: Let me see. You bought a bunch of bananas, a box of pancake mix, a bag of coffee … Anna, this is all wrong!
마샤: 제가 볼까요. 바나나 한 묶음, 팬케이크 가루 한 통, 커피 한 자루...아나, 다 잘못 잖아아요!

Anna: What do you mean wrong? I bought a jar of peanut butter and a loaf of bread … no, wait …two loaves of bread.
아나: 틀렸다니요? 땅콩잼 한 병, 식빵 한 줄...아니, 잠깐...두 줄이요.

Marsha: Anna, these are the wrong ingredients!
마샤: 아나, 이건 다 잘못된 재료예요!

Anna: These ingredients are all on the list! I took this list from the counter.
아나: 다 쇼핑 목록에 있던 재료들이라고요! 조리대에서 이 목록을 가져갔는데요.

Marsha: Anna, this is the shopping list for breakfast. I said, take the shopping list - on the refrigerator - for dinner!
마샤: 이 목록은 아침 식사 용이예요. 저녁 식사를 위해서는 냉장고에 있는 목록을 가져가라고 말했잖아요.

Anna: Marsha, there was no shopping list - on the refrigerator - for dinner!
아나: 마샤, 냉장고에는 저녁 식사용 쇼핑 목록이 없다고요!

Marsha: Oh no! It’s on the floor!!
마샤: 오 이런! 바닥에 떨어져있었네요.

Anna/Marsha: Ahh!!! Ahh!!!
아나/마샤: 안돼! 안돼!

Marsha: What are we going to do?
마샤: 이제 어떡하죠?

Anna: When do our guests arrive?
아나: 손님들이 언제 도착하나요?

Marsha: They arrive in 30 minutes!
마샤: 30분 안에 올거예요!

Anna: I can fix this. Do you trust me?
아나: 제가 해결해 볼게요. 저를 믿죠?

Marsha: Do I have to?
마샤: 그래야 하나요?

Anna: Yes.
아나: 그럼요.
