Lesson 23 무엇을 원해요? What Do You Want?

Anna: Washington, D.C. has great food from all over the world.
아나: 워싱턴 DC에는 전세계에서 온 훌륭한 음식들이 있어요.

Anna: Today I’m having lunch with my boss. Ms. Weaver says we’re going on a trip around the world. But she knows I only have an hour for lunch! Silly woman.
아나: 오늘 저는 상사와 함께 점심을 먹습니다. 위버 여사는 우리가 세계여행을 할거라고 말하네요. 하지만 제 점심시간은 한시간 뿐이란걸 그녀가 알죠! 어리석은 여자에요.

Jonathan: Hi, Anna!
조나단: 안녕하세요, 아나!

Anna: Hi Jonathan! Hey, we are meeting Ms. Weaver for lunch at noon, aren’t we?
아나: 안녕하세요 조나단! 우리 정오에 위버 여사 만나서 점심 먹는거죠, 아닌가요?

Jonathan: Yes.
조나단: 맞아요.

Anna: What time is it now?
아나: 지금 몇시인가요?

Jonathan: 11:50.
조나단: 11시50분이에요.

Anna: 11:50! We have to go!
아나: 11시 50분! 우리 가야돼요!

Anna: So, where is this world food restaurant?
아나: 자, 세계음식을 파는 식당이 어디있죠?

Caty: We’re not eating at a restaurant.
케이티: 우리 식당에서 먹는거 아니에요.

Anna: Where are we eating?
아나: 어디서 먹어요?

Caty: We are eating at ... food trucks!
케이티: 푸드 트럭에서 먹을거라구요!

Anna: Food trucks … awesome! What’s a food truck?
아나: 푸드 트럭…멋져요! 푸드 트럭이 뭔데요?

Caty: These are food trucks!
케이티: 이게 다 푸드 트럭들이에요.

Anna: Wow!
아나: 와우!

Jonathan: Whoa!
조나단: 후아!

Caty: Okay, Jonathan, you will buy the first dish. Here is $10. Surprise us!
케이티: 좋아요, 조나단, 첫번째 음식을 사오세요. 10달러 여기있어요. 우릴 놀래키세요!

Jonathan: Okay, I’ll be back in 15 minutes.
조나단: 알았어요, 15분 안에 돌아올게요.

Anna: What country do I want to visit?
아나: 저는 어느 나라를 방문할까요?

Caty: Anna, you pick the second country. Here is $10.
케이티: 아나, 두번째 나라를 고르세요. 여기 10달러 있어요.

Anna: I want chicken.
아나: 저는 치킨을 원해요.

Caty: The food truck, over there, has great chicken.
케이티: 저 트럭, 저기 있는거요, 훌륭한 치킨을 팔아요.

Anna: Awesome!
아나: 좋아요!

Caty: After you buy your food, meet me here.
케이티: 음식을 산 뒤에 여기서 저와 만나요.

Jonathan: Excuse me, I’ll have the shrimp.
조나단: 실례합니다, 저는 새우를 먹을래요.

Jonathan: Oh, you’re out of shrimp. Okay, I’ll have the beef then.
조나단: 오, 새우가 다 떨어졌군요. 좋아요, 그렇다면 소고기를 먹죠.

Anna: I want the chicken dish.
아나: 저는 치킨 요리를 원해요.

Truck worker: We're out of chicken.
트럭 종업원: 치킨이 다 떨어졌어요.

Anna: You're out of chicken.
아나: 치킨이 다 팔렸군요.

Worker: Yep.
종업원: 네.

Anna: I’ll try another food truck. Thanks!
아나: 다른 푸드 트럭에 가볼게요. 감사합니다!

Worker: You're welcome.
종업원: 천만에요.

Jonathan: Okay, here is your change. The dish is $7. So, here is 1, 2, 3 dollars back from your 10.
조나단: 좋아요, 여기 잔돈이요. 요리는 7달러에요. 그래서, 10달러 받은 데서 1,2,3달러 남았네요.

Caty: Great.
케이티: 훌륭해요.

Jonathan: Where’s Anna? Is she dancing by that food truck?
조나단: 아나는 어디있어요? 저 푸드트럭 옆에서 춤추고 있는건가요?

Caty: Yes. Yes, she is.
케이티: 네. 맞아요, 춤추고 있네요.

Anna: Ms. Weaver, here is your change. The dish costs $5. So - $5 back.
아나: 위버 여사, 여기 잔돈이요. 음식 사는데 5달러 들었어요. 그러니까 5달러 돌려드립니다.

Caty: Thanks, Anna. But where is the food?
케이티: 고마워요, 아나. 하지만 음식은 어디있죠?

Anna: I’m eating it. The Peruvian chicken is delicious! Try some!
아나: 먹고있어요. 페루식 치킨 아주 맛있어요! 드셔 보세요!

(Caty and Jonathan shake their heads “no”)
(케이티와 조나단이 고개를 가로 젓는다.)

Caty: Well, we still have $8! What do you want now?
케이티: 음, 아직 우리에겐 8달러가 있군요! 뭘 원해요 이제?

Anna: We can buy dessert!
아나: 디저트를 살 수 있네요!

Caty: I’ll buy dessert.
케이티: 제가 디저트를 사올게요.

Anna: In Washington, D.C., you can travel around the world … with food trucks! And it does not cost a lot.
아나: 워싱턴 DC에서는 세계를 여행할 수 있어요… 푸드 트럭을 통해서요! 그리고 비싸지도 않아요.
